Seksyon I

Kesyon an poze sou yon premis ki pa kòrèk

Lè yon moun mande: « Ki plas La Voie anndan Christianisme?

Seksyon III

Mo « Christianisme » lan pa nan Ketubim Qadoshim yo

Mo « Christianisme » lan pa parèt okenn kote nan Ketubim Qadoshim yo.

  • Yahushuʿah pa t di l t ap etabli yon « Christianisme ».
  • Shilliaḥim yo pa t anonse yon « Christianisme ».
  • Premye tal'midim yo pa t prezante tèt yo kòm manm yon « Christianisme ».

Selon istoryen yo, premye fwa mo a parèt (an grèk, Christianismos) se nan kòmansman dezyèm syèk la, nan lèt Ignace d'Antioche — apre lanmò shilliaḥim yo.

Seksyon IV

Ki kote mo « Chrétien » an soti

Seksyon VI

  • Enkizisyon
  • konvèsyon fòse
  • pèsekisyon
  • kolaborasyon ant relijyon ak pouvwa politik
  • divizyon an plizyè milye denominasyon

Men li pa idantifye tèt li kòm yon gwoup anndan « Christianisme », paske, dapre konpreyansyon li sou Ketubim Qadoshim yo, kominote Yahushuʿah te etabli a rele La Voie.

Se poutèt sa manm li yo prefere idantifye tèt yo kòm tal'midim, 'edim, mashiyḥim ak manm La Voie, olye yo pote yon non ki, selon konpreyansyon yo, pa soti nan idantite Yahushuʿah te bay kominote li a.

Sentèz

An de fraz

Kesyon an pa « ki plas La Voie anndan Christianisme », men « ki non kominote Yahushuʿah te etabli a te pote » — epi Ketubim Qadoshim yo reponn: Ha'Derekh, La Voie.

Section I

Technical Note
Ha'Derekh

Why don't the members of La Voie identify as "Christians"?

This document is a clarification, not an accusation. It explains how La Voie understands its own identity according to the Ketubim Qadoshim. It does not judge the émounah, sincerity, or intentions of anyone.

Section I

The question rests on an inaccurate premise

When someone asks, "Where does La Voie fit within Christianity?", the question already assumes something that has not been established — that "Christianity" is the root of La Voie, and that every community which recognizes Yahushuʿah is a branch of the same tree.

La Voie has never claimed to be a group, a denomination, a branch, or a community within "Christianity." The answer therefore cannot be a place within a system La Voie never entered.

The right question is: what name did the community established by Yahushuʿah bear in the Ketubim Qadoshim?

Section II

The community's name in the Ketubim Qadoshim is Ha'Derekh — La Voie

The Ketubim Qadoshim leave this name in no doubt. They call the community Ha'Derekh — Les Membres de La Voie, and they repeat it:

  • Maʿasei (Acts) 9:2; 19:9, 23; 22:4; 24:14, 22

In Maʿasei 24:14, Shaʾoul stands before the authorities and openly acknowledges himself as a member of La Voie — this is the name he gives when he must declare who he is. It is not a synonym mentioned once; it is the name by which the community was known.

This is the identity La Voie chooses to restore today. It is not a new invention — it is a return.

Birth of the Qehilah: the community was born on 6 Sivan 33 CE, on the feast of Shabuʿot — when the Rouaḥ ha'Qodesh came upon the first tal'midim. It is from that day that La Voie exists as a community.
Section III

The word "Christianity" is not in the Ketubim Qadoshim

The word "Christianity" appears nowhere in the Ketubim Qadoshim.

  • Yahushuʿah did not say he was establishing a "Christianity."
  • The Shilliaḥim did not announce a "Christianity."
  • The first tal'midim did not present themselves as members of a "Christianity."

According to historians, the word's first appearance (in Greek, Christianismos) is at the beginning of the second century, in the letters of Ignatius of Antioch — after the death of the Shilliaḥim. The word is therefore later than the community; it is not the name the community bore for itself.

Section IV

Where the word "Christian" comes from

The chain is clear, and La Voie does not deny it — on the contrary, its position rests on that very chain:

StageFormMeaning
IbriMashiaḥThe anointed one
IbriMashiyḥimThose who belong to the Mashiaḥ
GreekChristosTranslation of Mashiaḥ
GreekChristianoiMaʿasei 11:26 — in Antioch
LatinChristiani
EnglishChristians / Christianity

In other words: "Christian" is the translation of a translation. The original word that marked the belonging of the tal'midim is Mashiyḥim — those who belong to the Mashiaḥ. This is why the members of La Voie keep the original form: they keep the language (Ibri) and the meaning of the word in its original tongue.

Romiyim 3:1, 2 · Yaḥuānān 4:22 · Maʿasei 26:14

Section V

Answering an objection: "If it's the same word, why one and not the other?"

This is the most serious objection, and it deserves a direct answer.

  1. A name is not only its etymology — it is also the history of its use. A word carries the weight of everything done under it across the centuries. Mashiyḥim remains bound to the Mashiaḥ. "Christians / Christianity," over nearly two thousand years, became bound to a great many things that do not come from the teachings of Yahushuʿah.
  2. A community's identity is not translated — it is received. La Voie holds that the name a community bears is not an administrative detail; it is a declaration of who it is. When a name changes language twice and becomes loaded with a system that was not there at the origin, it is no longer the same name, even if the root remains identical.
  3. It is a choice of continuity, not a choice of rejection. Keeping Mashiyḥim is to say: we remain bound to the source. It is not to say: we condemn all who bear the other name.
Section VI

"Christianity" as a later religious system

For La Voie, "Christianity" is a religious system that developed after the death of the first Shilliaḥim and most of the first tal'midim. In history, this system became mixed with political power and took the form of a state religion. Its structure, its authority, its calendar, and many of its doctrines took shape in a context that was not the context of the community established by Yahushuʿah.

This is why La Voie does not regard "Christianity" as the direct continuation of the community established by Yahushuʿah.

Among what is often cited in the history of this system:

  • religious wars
  • the Inquisition
  • forced conversions
  • persecutions
  • collaboration between religion and political power
  • division into several thousand denominations
A note on the weight of this argument: these historical points are a secondary argument. The foundation of La Voie's position is what the Ketubim Qadoshim say (Sections II and III), not what people did in history. Even if that history had been blameless, the community's name would still be La Voie.
Section VII

How the members of La Voie identify themselves

'EdimThose with the mission to bear witnessMaʿasei 1:8

These four names are not four distinct groups — they are four aspects of a single identity: where we are (La Voie), what we are (tal'midim), our mission ('edim), our belonging (Mashiyḥim).

Section VIII

La Voie's stance toward those who call themselves Christians

La Voie does not reject those who call themselves Christians, and it does not judge their intentions or their sincerity. But it does not identify as a group within "Christianity," because, according to its understanding of the Ketubim Qadoshim, the community established by Yahushuʿah is called La Voie.

This is why its members prefer to identify as tal'midim, 'edim, mashiyḥim, and members of La Voie, rather than bear a name that, in their understanding, does not come from the identity Yahushuʿah gave to his community.

Synthesis

In two sentences

The question is not "where does La Voie fit within Christianity," but "what name did the community established by Yahushuʿah bear" — and the Ketubim Qadoshim answer: Ha'Derekh, La Voie.

Its members keep the original form that binds them to the Mashiaḥ — Mashiyḥim — without condemning anyone, yet without taking a name that is later than the community.

Sección I
